CHS ULSD Project Laurel, MT
This project was a new Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) clean fuels plant for the CHS refinery in Laurel, MT. As part of the 60,000 barrel refinery, the ULSD project allows CHS to meet federal mandatory environmental compliance regulations. It was completed in mid-2005. JH Kelly performed the civil, structural, mechanical (underground piping) and equipment setting of hydrogen recycling compressors scope of work in addition to the civil/concrete work for the TGTU and hydrogen plant. Stone & Webster provided the detail engineering services. Technip's hydrogen process technology and Haldor-Topsoe's catalyst technology were utilized on the project.
