Shell ISOM Project Anacortes, WA
JH Kelly performed the Inside Battery Limits (ISBL) work scope for a new Isomeritization (ISOM) Unit at the Shell Puget Sound Refinery in Anacortes, Washington. As the mechanical contractor, JH Kelly was responsible for the piping, instrumentation, insulation, electric heat tracing, field fire-proofing of structural steel and vessels, and start up and commissioning support services. Working within JH Kelly's Injury Free Environment Program and the site's Behaviorial Based Safety Program, JH Kelly performed in excess of 51,000 work hours without a recordable injury. JH Kelly installed over 1,700 cubic feet of fireproofing; 16,000 lineal feet of pipe; 150+ instruments and tubing; and set, final aligned and grouted seven pumps. VECO provided the detailed engineering for this project. It began in February 2005 and was completed in Fall 2005. Special points of interest: - 0 recordable injuries
